Dr. Renee Wittemyer is the Director of Social Innovation in Intel Corporation’s Corporate Responsibility Office. In her role she works across Intel’s business to develop social innovation opportunities, works on strategy, policy and research for Intel’s girls and women’s campaign, and manages Intel’s relationships with strategic alliances such as USAID, NGOs, and UN Women. She has extensive experience conducting research on a range of technology, development and innovation topics in emerging economies as a research scientist in Intel Labs. She has published over 20 papers in academic journals, edited books as well as more popular venues on topics such as gender/women’s empowerment and technology; technology and development, poverty, social entrepreneurship, and financial inclusion. She is also a Clinton Global Initiative “advisor.” She holds a PhD from the University of California, Berkeley focused in development studies. She has a Masters degree in Public Affairs from Princeton University's Woodrow Wilson School.
