Fay Arjomandi joined Vodafone in January 2011 and by September 2011 successfully launched Vodafone xone. Vodafone xone is the company’s new R&D Center in Silicon Valley, with the one goal, to fast track new products delivery to Vodafone’s markets around the world. At Vodafone xone, Fay leads the incubation work with start-up companies, Vodafone Ventures and Vodafone Americas Foundation. Fay also spearheads the partnership work with emerging and disruptive technologies from start-up companies to help the startup companies to develop, test and prepare for user trials for global markets. Fay is a successful serial entrepreneur with experience specializing in wireless communications, software applications and protocol development. Prior to Vodafone, Fay was the co-founder and CEO of three technology start-ups that built location-based services, quality of service, and multimedia content distribution platforms used by mobile operators globally. As a pragmatic technology innovator, Fay has authored 12 patents. In 2006, Fay received the distinguished Business In Vancouver’s “Top 40 Under 40” award. In 2007, she was the Canadian technology and innovation representative to the White House. Fay holds a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Concordia University.
