Title Global Head of Infrastructure Architecture Company BNY Mellon Bio Swamy Kocherlakota is a Managing Director and Global Head of Architecture and Engineering at BNY Mellon where he is responsible for building a strong infrastructure practice and help deliver world class infrastructure services to various BNY Mellon lines of business. Swamy is also responsible for driving the IT transformation for distributed systems at BNY Mellon and has been driving down the overall infrastructure costs at BNY Mellon. Swamy and his team deployed Private Cloud with laaS and PaaS offerings. Prior to BNY Mellon, Swamy Kocherlakota was the Head of Application Services Group at Merrill Lynch where he was responsible for establishing enterprise standards, building shared infrastructure and application services for the Global Markets and Investment Banking Technology group. Prior to this, he was head of technology for the ISI Equities Direct Market Access technology group in Merrill Lynch, Chicago. Before joining Merrill, Swamy was a distinguished engineer at Lucent Bell Labs where he managed technology for Lucent and its ventures. Swamy is a NASD registered representative and has a PhD in Computer Science from Michigan State University.
