Rhonda Vetere is the Chief Technology Officer at Estee Lauder Companies. She joined us in December 2013. She is responsible for all global technology, insourcing and outsourcing for the 30 brands across ELC. Throughout her career, she has spearheaded 13 successful global mergers. Her ability to consistently deliver resulted in 6 industry nominations for implementations of global data centers. In addition, recognized in the Industry by Gartner for how to run Global Operations/Infrastructure across multiple technology domains and how to come up with a strategic location strategy for help desk/contact centre and technology operations. She has managed up to Teams of 10,000 associates globally and lived overseas in several places throughout her career. Her last X-Pat role was in London for 3 years. Prior to joining ELC in December, she was the SVP at AIG for Global Infrastructure. In this global role, she is responsible for running the change and run functions of global technology. This included the 33 Service Desks around the world, all of desktop engineering, insourcing, outsourcing, email, architecture, network, design, storage, mainframe, citrix, active directory, mobility, unified communications. This technology supported over 70,000 associates for AIG. She is accountable for transforming old technology throughout all of the Lines Of Businesses around the World for AIG into the state of the art environment in 132 Countries around the World. In her previous role at HP as VP of Enterprise Service Management, Rhonda had global responsibility for the Automation Transformation, Production Engineering, Software & Tools Transformation, Architecture & Technology and Global Operations, as well as Global Service Management. This includes managing several thousands of associates. ESM delivered Automation through the use of control systems and technologies, reducing human sensory and increasing reliability and efficiency. Production Engineering drove efficiencies to technically transform the top 1200 Outsourcing clients, i.e., General Motors, Alcatel/Lucent through standardization, converged processes and managing interlocks. Through the Software & Tools Transformation team, ESM delivered consolidate highly complex tools to a standardized business model. She lead the Division that launched IT Service Management in the Industry and addressed the client demand for a Multi-Suppler Service Integrator and bring tremendous growth opportunities. Prior to this role, Rhonda was with Lehman Brothers/Barclays as the Global Infrastructure and Global Production Services Executive. Her global responsibilities included Data Center Management, trading desks, Application and Batch Monitoring, Capacity Planning, Enterprise System Tools Management, Production Management, Service Level Management, help desks and overall Global Infrastructure Operations. In this role, she executed a global plan to migrate non-strategic sites resulting in a savings of $23.5M. Rhonda was known as a results-oriented, client-focused executive who drives value by delivering technology to improve cost and customer satisfaction. Previously, Rhonda was with JPMorgan Chase. In 2004, the merger of Bank One and JPMorgan Chase materialized. Rhonda accepted the position of Managing Director of the Global Infrastructure Operations Center (IOC), where she led a team of several thousand associates globally. She was one of the first female Leaders to spearhead offshoring in India and set up operations in Mumbai and Bangalore for JPMorgan. While in this position, Rhonda relied on industry knowledge and her ability to streamline global processes. Under her direction, in-sourcing and outsourcing efficiencies produced $315M in cost savings. She was responsible for all areas of technology 24 x 7: Network, Voice, DMZ, Mainframe, Storage, Batch monitoring, Midrange, Tandem and insourced AT&T network and IBM Mainframe in less than 60 days at the same time. Prior to going into the Financial Sector, she was in Telecommunications. This included running the integration/mergers for CompuServe, UUNET, AOL, Worldcom, MFS and MCI. Rhonda is active in many global organizations, including the Society for Women’s Health Research and Women in Technology. She is an author of Dummies book for Enterprise Service Management. She has spoken at various global conferences and several colleges to include Smith Tuck/Dartmouth, George Mason University and Ohio State University. In addition, she was the executive sponsor for diversity at Barclays. She actively participated in speaking engagements with Hewlett Packard. She holds a degree in Business and Communications from George Mason University. In her down time, Rhonda enjoys swimming, skiing, scuba diving, golf and spending time with friends and family. She lives outside of New York City with her husband.
