Mr. Greg Alexander is the Vice President, Global Security Advisor for the Priceline Group. In this role, Mr. Alexander is responsible for leading the IT Security function within the Priceline Group of Brands, providing security advice and guidance to Senior Leadership, assessing and monitoring the status of security within the group and providing updates and recommendations to both the Board of Directors and Group Senior Leadership on security matters. Mr. Alexander joined Priceline Group from HP Enterprise Services US Public Sector where he served as the group’s Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) from 2006 to 2012. In this role Greg led the Office of Information Security (OIS), an organization with ~175 employees responsible for providing information security services to internal HP business units as well as providing information security services to HP clients. Greg’s portfolio included Security and Privacy Professional Services; Security Audit and Compliance; Security Forensics; Import and Export Compliance; Identity and Access Management; Computer Defense Alert Centers; Encryption; and the Industrial Security Office. In 2010, Greg successfully led his OIS team through ISO 27001 registration. Prior to assuming his role as USPS CISO, he was the Chief Security Officer for a major health organization on the west coast. In that role Greg was responsible for standing up a security office that included physical, logical and personnel security. Before that, he was the CISO for a large government organization in the United Kingdom, where he was responsible for the information security for an estate that included six data centers, 150,000 employees and over 175,000 devices. Mr. Alexander joined EDS, now HP, from KPMG Consulting where he was a manager in the state and local government practice. He also spent eight years as an Assistant Professor and CIS Department Chair at Davenport University in Michigan. Mr. Alexander holds the Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) certificate from Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA) as well as the Department of Defense Information Assurance Manager certificate. He is a recognized international speaker having presented IT Security papers in London, Dublin, Nice, Singapore as well as Washington DC and other US cities. Greg is a retired US Army Lieutenant Colonel and is a graduate of the US Army Systems Automation Course as well as a certified Acquisitions Officer. He is graduate of Western Michigan University holding both an MBA (’87) and a BBA (’77). He has been married to his wife Linda for 43 years and they have three grown children and two grandchildren.
