Bio

Stephanie Glover is the Director of Customs & Trade Facilitation at Canada Post Corporation. Stephanie has extensive Customs and logistics experience with more than 25 years in the customs and international trade field. Stephanie is a Certified Customs Specialist and holds her professional status in Canada. Stephanie spent many years in the commercial trade sector prior to joining Canada Post.

Stephanie is responsible, most recently, for the implementation of a newly modernized postal and customs process whereby new IT applications and supporting mechanical processes were re-vamped to improve cross border security and efficiency at this critical element of the chain. This newly modernized process leverages advanced postal data for customs targeting, release and refer processes while utilizing automation for handling and diversion processes. Canada is pleased to be an early adopter in this area and is eager to realize success with implementation of their first modernized international postal operation in Vancouver at the end of April 2014. This is a state of the art facility designed to deliver security and efficiency at the next level of sophistication well into the 21st century.

Stephanie also manages multiple portfolios for Canada at the Universal Postal Union (UPU), a UN Agency that governs areas dealing with Customs, Security, Transportation and Standards to name a few. Stephanie’s work ensures member states remain compliant with and continue to develop the UPU Treaty. Stephanie is currently the Chair of the UPU Customs Group and also chairs the WCO/UPU Contact Committee.
