Peter Brennan is an architect in IBM’s Global Business Services Architecture Practice and is an active participant in IBM’s Global Customs and Borders Community of Practice.  Over the past 14 years, Peter has worked as a Solution Architect implementing a variety of systems to address diverse and complex business initiatives across diverse technologies and platforms.  Peter’s role in the majority of these assignments has been specifically managing the design, development and implementation of solution architectures, application design and integration for clients various technical hardware and software platforms.

Peter has extensive experience working with Clients within the broader Customs and Borders domains, delivering complex technical solutions and business outcomes. Firstly as the Technical Architect for the Integrated Cargo System component of Australian Customs and Border Protection Services Cargo Management Reengineering Program.  More recently, Peter was responsible for the solution and delivery of the IATA/ICAO/WCO PNRGOV Message processing capability for Traveller Risk Assessment under the Enhanced Passenger Assessment and Clearance Program using an IBM Industry Solution.   Peter is currently the Solution Lead for the National Border Targeting Centre Enterprise Profiling Capability, which is implementing the foundation capability for a new generation of risk assessment capabilities for ACBPS.

For the past 3 years, Peter has been IBM’s global technical representative for the development of international standards for the transmission of passenger data to Governments.  He has been primarily focussed around involvement as a strategic partner of the IATA Passenger Data Interchange Standard Working Groups, specifically for the PNRGOV and PAXLST Message Types.
