Teresa Conolan

National Manager International and Industry, Trade and Customs Division, Australian Customs and Border Protection Service (ACBPS)

Ms. Teresa Conolan is currently the senior executive responsible for International and Industry Branch under the new Trade and Customs Division.

International and Industry is responsible for coordinating international engagement across the agency. The Branch manages the ACBPS international network and approach to international customs and border protection diplomacy and integrates this with a holistic industry engagement strategy. The Branch also manages ACBPS stakeholder engagement, especially with private industry partners in the trade and traveller space and international engagement.

Ms Conolan has had a long career of 30 years with ACBPS.  Her main experience is in staffing policy, workforce planning, organisation design and corporate planning.  She has previously held the positions of Departmental Liaison Officer to the Minister for Justice and Customs in 2001, Counsellor Washington from 2003-2006 and the first ACBPS Chief of Staff (2012-2013).

Ms Conolan  holds  a  Bachelor  of  Education from  Melbourne  State College  and a Masters in Public Administration from the University of Canberra.
