Maria Palazzolo is the Chief Executive Officer of GS1 Australia, a not-for-profit organisation that locally administers the GS1 System of global supply chain standards in more than 22 industry sectors throughout Australia.  

Under her direction, GS1 Australia has grown into an innovative organisation providing the GS1 System of global supply chain standards and a range of value-added services to more than 17,000 members.

GS1 and the WCOs continuing cooperation on Customs related issues aims to provide concrete identification and traceability solutions, enabling reliable and clear authentication of items in the fight against counterfeiting.
