Title Manager, Global Research, Israel Technologies Center Company GE Bio Oded was born and raised in Israel. He attended the Hebrew University in Jerusalem and graduated with a PhD degree in physics in 1978. He then did his post-doctoral work at the TRIUMF accelerator lab in Vancouver, Canada. In 2002 Oded earned an MBA from the Haifa University in Israel. Oded has been active in the field of medical imaging since 1990 and during this time period he held leading positions in CT engineering, clinical applications as well as upstream & downstream marketing in Europe and the USA. After joining GEHC in 2001 Oded managed a team of physicists and engineers who worked on detector technology and system aspects of advanced CT scanners. In 2007 Oded was elected to launch GE Global Research activities in Israel. In his role as the GE-GR Business Development Manager, Oded scouted, identified and screened Israeli Hi-Tech companies whose technologies and products fit the overall GE roadmap. Serving as the interface between the Israeli Hi-Tech industry and GE, Oded facilitated agreements, collaborations & partnerships between Israeli ventures and various GE entities. In 2011 Oded was appointed to manage the Global Research-Israel Technology Center and its team of researchers.
