Title Managing Director Company FirstMark Capital Bio Matt Turck, a Managing Director of FirstMark Capital, focuses on investments in the enterprise, data, fintech, infrastructure, and connected devices sectors. Prior to FirstMark, Matt was a Managing Director at Bloomberg Ventures, the investment and incubation arm of Bloomberg LP. Previously, Matt was the co-founder of TripleHop Technologies, a venture-backed enterprise search software startup that was acquired by Oracle. He is a mentor/advisor in a number of startup accelerator programs (Techstars, NYC Venture Fellows, ERA, Dreamit, First Growth Venture Network). Matt founded and runs two large monthly tech community events, Data Driven NYC (which focuses on data-driven startups and Big Data) and Hardwired NYC (which focuses on the Internet of Things, 3D printing and wearable computing). Matt attended L’Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris (Sciences Po) as an undergraduate and holds a master of laws (LL.M.) from Yale Law School.
