Title Managing Director & CTO Company Citi Bio Motti Finkelstein has been with Citi for over a decade. He is the CTO - Global Strategy and Planning - Citi Architecture and Technology Engineering. Global Strategy and Planning is responsible for emerging technologies, liaising with the various global innovation labs, vendor engagements, labs, and creating and ensuring the execution of key initiatives across Infrastructure Engineering. The main focus of Strategy and Planning is a cohesive, secure, reliable, scalable, flexible, cost efficient solution approach across CitiUser, CitiData, CitiCloud, CitiApp, CitiServer, CitiStorage, CitiNetwork and CitiSecure as part of infrastructure Engineering. The drive is to create a business competitive advantage through leading edge technology, globalize platforms for operational consistency, cost reduction and enhanced system reliability, enhanced customer experience across all channels, and safety and soundness by meeting regulatory and compliance requirements. Previously Motti was responsible for Platforms & Storage Engineering, Applications Services, Architecture, Capacity Planning and Regional Engineering for Citi Technology Infrastructure North America, as well as the Global Engineering and Architecture for Databases for Citi Architecture and Technology Engineering. Prior to joining Citi, Motti served as the Chief Information Officer at Versaware Inc., an ePublishing company, and as a Director in the Department of Information Technology and Telecommunications of the City of NY. His responsibilities included multi-million dollar data center consolidations, Database Technologies, Disaster Recovery, Facilities, and Communications. Prior to that Motti was responsible for the Technology Infrastructure Department in the computer unit of the Israeli Air Force. Mr. Finkelstein holds a Bachelor of Technology & Applied Sciences in Computer Software Engineering. He also holds an M.B.A. in International Business from the Zicklin School of Business, Baruch College.
