Jeff Fromm is a Partner and Co-Head of the Corporate Group in the Firm's New York and Washington, DC offices. He is also Head of the NY Office’s Venture Capital and Emerging Companies Practice Group as well as founder and Co-Head of the Educational Publishing, Technology & Services (EPTS) Industry Group, the Israel Practice Group, and the Benefit Corporations Practice Group firm-wide. Jeff primarily represents growth-stage technology companies, B2B and B2C product and service businesses, and investment groups, both within the U.S. and internationally. He has global experience in structuring, negotiating and closing venture capital and private equity investments, mergers & acquisitions, fund formations, debt financings, joint ventures, licensing and distribution arrangements, and executive employment and compensation arrangements. Jeff serves as general outside counsel to a number of his clients. Jeff offers specialized market knowledge, expertise and contacts to businesses in the education industry, having worked actively with educational technology, product and service companies for over 15 years. In addition, he has an emerging practice representing companies that want to form as or convert to “benefit corporations” (“B Corps”). Jeff is a founding member and manager of the Kidron Opportunity Fund, a boutique venture capital fund targeting global investments in a wide range of technology, media, telecom, consumer goods, education, and financial service companies. With over 25 years of experience as a firm lawyer, general counsel, operating executive, investor, entrepreneur and board member, and drawing upon both law and MBA degrees, Jeff offers a rare blend of business and strategic experience to his clients.
