Mark J. Laurie BEc (LaT) MBA (Melb) DipSM (Macq) FCA FTIA SAFin Partner PricewaterhouseCoopers
 
Mark is a senior partner at PwC Australia and has over 30 years experience. He has a background in both corporate and advisory roles, across a broad range of industries, sectors and geographies, including Australia, China, South East Asia, India and New Zealand. Mark is also PwC Australia’s India Practice Leader. In his role as a client lead partner Mark has worked across all levels of Government and the Private Sector. He is the trusted counsel to a number of Executives and Directors of foreign and ASX listed corporations. His many assignments include financial & management reporting, project oversight, mergers and acquisitions, market entry strategies, the development of operating models, capital raisings, corporate restructures, risk management, tax and litigation support. Mark is also the Lead Partner for developing the next generation of partners (Client Lead Partner Business School) and is the sponsor for Ascent – a development program for executives from the public, private and not-for-profit sectors. He has also lectured on Tax, Finance and Accounting for the Institute of Chartered Accountants, MBS on their EMBA program and was a co-author of the CPA inaugural Taxation Module. He is a Director of Asialink and has served on various State Committees for the Taxation Institute of Australia, was a State Councilor for The Association of Superannuation Funds of Australia Limited and charitable boards. Mark was a Lieutenant in the Australian Army Reserve (Infantry) and has the Australian Defence Medal. His interests include spending time with family, gardening, Rugby Union, wine and educational pursuits – particularly on how learning can change organizations. Mark also presents an annual paper on “Aspects of the American Civil War”.
