Gary Acosta

Co-Founder and Co-Chief Executive Officer

 

 

Mr. Acosta is 20 year veteran of the housing industry and one of the nation’s leading Hispanic housing advocates. He is a principal owner of New Vista Enterprises. New Vista owns and operates several housing related businesses with focus on the burgeoning multi-cultural real estate markets.

 

Mr. Acosta is also the founder of the National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals (NAHREP). NAHREP is a professional trade association with over 16,000 members and 65 chapters nationwide. He serves on the board of directors and is currently the organization’s interim executive director.

 

In 2001 Mr. Acosta co-founded and was the principal owner of EMT Applications. EMT developed and operated CounselorMax, a web-based office management system for non-profit housing counselors. Since its creation, CounselorMax has helped educate over 500,000 low to moderate income families on issues related to sustainable homeownership. In 2007 CounselorMax was purchased by NeighborWorks of America and has since become an industry standard.

 

In 2004, Realtor Magazine named him one of the 25 most influential people in real estate and Hispanic Business Magazine named him one of the 100 most influential Hispanics in America.

He is a member of the board of directors of the Mortgage Bankers Association of America and New Paradigm Broadcasting Network and has served on advisory boards for Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and JP Morgan Chase.
