Title Vice-Chancellor Company Charles Sturt University Bio Professor Andrew Vann has been the Vice-Chancellor at Charles Sturt University since December 2011. He trained as a civil engineer and worked in engineering consultancy before completing a PhD at the University of Bristol in 1994.   He lectured in structural engineering at University of Bristol prior to taking up a similar post at Central Queensland University.  Later, at James Cook University he was Pro Vice-Chancellor Information Services and Technologies and, from 2008, Senior Deputy Vice-Chancellor with responsibility for the Faculties and Teaching and Learning.   He has held various board and community leadership roles and is a member of the Board of Higher Ed Services.
