Title Principal Company Google.org Bio Lacy Caruthers is the Head of Employee Engagement at Google.org, where she oversees $100M+ in annual giving and leads the company’s efforts to harness the talent of 80,000 employees globally for social impact. Previously she led Google.org’s philanthropic programs across Europe, Asia, Africa and Latin America. She joined Google in 2006 as one of the founding members of the Energy and Sustainability team where she led a broad range of strategic sustainability initiatives, including the development of Google’s renewable energy investment program, which has committed over $2.5 billion to clean energy projects. Prior to joining Google, she worked on corporate sustainability issues in the U.K. She holds a B.S. in Earth Systems from Stanford University, and an M.Sc. with Distinction in Environmental Policy and Economics from the London School of Economics. She lives in San Francisco with her husband and son.
