As Director, Education Portfolio for the Emerson Collective, Beth leads grant making efforts to build and support a portfolio of partnerships with nonprofit entrepreneurs and organizations whose missions are to radically improve outcomes for students and advance broader social justice efforts on their behalf. In addition to her work at the Emerson Collective, Beth is the Founder and Executive Chairman of Wishbone.org, a non-profit organization dedicated to sending low-income students to high-quality summer programs. Under her leadership, Wishbone has raised over $4M in scholarship dollars to support over 2,100 students in pursuing their passions. Beth is a former Teach for America Corps Member and graduated from Middlebury College. She holds a Masters in Secondary Education from Loyola Marymount University. Beth is a Kauffman Labs Education Ventures Fellow, a Draper Richards Kaplan Entrepreneur, a Bluhm/ Helfand Social Innovation Fellow, and was celebrated twice on Forbes’ “30 Under 30” list - both in 2013 and 2014 for her work in education. She was honored by the World Economic Forum as a “Global Shaper”, and attended the 2014 Meeting in Davos, participating on the International Business Council to discuss the international youth unemployment crisis. In 2014, she was honored on the GOOD 100 list of top "people pushing the world forward through doing.”
