Tom Ogletree is Director of Social Impact and External Affairs at General Assembly, a global educational company offering employer-driven, practitioner-taught training in high-demand fields like data, technology, design, and business, General Assembly’s global reach, massive community, and leading outcomes have created an international community of professionals nearly one million strong. Tom leads the design and implementation of programs that empower low-income adults from underserved and overlooked communities to acquire digital skills and pursue tech careers, expanding access to GA’s immersive web development training for over 600 low-income adults. General Assembly’s social impact programs have been recognized by Best for NYC, Fast Company’s World Changing Ideas, and the MIT Inclusive Innovation Competition. Tom has extensive experience in the social sector, with past leadership roles at the Clinton Foundation, CCS Fundraising, and GLAAD. He received his A.B. from Yale and his M.P.A. from NYU. He is Vice Chair of the Board of the Ali Forney Center, a nonprofit that provides housing and supportive services to LGBTQ homeless youth.
