Tara Leweling amplifies Allstate’s voice in key conversations about the future of business in America as vice president of Stakeholder Relations and Corporate Thought Leadership in Corporate Relations. In her role, Tara leads the corporate thought leadership agenda across internal and external stakeholders, with an emphasis on helping businesses create greater prosperity for our country and on helping to shape the future of personal transportation. In this capacity, she directly supports the Chairman and CEO of the Allstate Corporation with his internal and external engagements, and she directs several of the firm’s thought leadership partnerships. Tara is a collaborative, innovative and entrepreneurial leader with over 25 years of diverse experience, including in the private sector, the White House, and the US military. She has a strong background in strategic planning, relationship management, crisis response, and organizational design. Prior to joining Allstate, she was executive director of International Policy and Programs with JPMorgan Chase & Co., where she coordinated the J.P. Morgan International Council, a group of 30 business leaders, former U.S. Cabinet officials, and former heads of government and coordinated the firm’s global political analysis work. Prior to J.P. Morgan, she served as acting senior director for European Affairs and director for NATO and Western Europe on the White House National Security Council. In the Air Force, she held several command, plans, programming, and operational positions, to include serving as a speechwriter for the secretary of the U.S. Air Force and deploying multiple times in support of NATO operations. Tara earned a bachelor’s degree in mathematics and history from the University of Michigan and a master’s degree in international relations from Troy State University. She also has a master’s degree in systems engineering and a doctorate in information sciences from the Naval Postgraduate School.
