Anne Emig is on the Government Innovation team at Bloomberg Philanthropies where she oversees the Mayors Challenge, and ideas competition for cities. In addition to overseeing the Competition process, Anne provides implementation support to winning cities and leads an international learning network of more than 20 cities in the U.S., Europe and Latin America. Prior to joining Bloomberg Philanthropies, Anne was the Manager of the Cities for Financial Empowerment (CFE) Fund’s Financial Empowerment Center Replication Initiative, supported by a $16.2 million investment from Bloomberg Philanthropies. Anne has also worked at HR&A Advisors as an economic development, public policy and real estate consultant, and at One Economy Corporation where she helped manage a California-wide public-private partnership comprised of the California Emerging Technology Fund, AT&T, and nine municipalities. Anne holds a Master in City Planning from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and bachelor’s degrees in Business Administration and English Literature from Kansas State University.
