He is responsible for IT strategy and digital transformation along with the planning, development, and implementation of all technology-related services at Virco. Previously, as Avery Dennison’s VP, Global IT Strategy and Architecture, Devers drove the company’s worldwide IT strategy, transformational initiatives, and global architectural design. Here he led the ongoing advancement of a strategic roadmap for key initiatives. Rob ensured emerging technology trends and business priorities were integrated for maximum business impact. Along with overall IT strategy, Devers also established Avery Dennison’s IT architecture, empowering IT to dynamically support future business needs as well as present demands. Prior to joining Avery Dennison, he served as Enterprise Architect for Dole Food Company, where he was instrumental in creating Dole’s strategic technology vision along with developing Dole’s architectural framework. He has also held senior-level positions at Ernst & Young, Capgemini, and Accenture where has extensive experience delivering innovative and complex IT initiatives. A former U.S. Air Force pilot and graduate of the Air Force Academy, Devers has degrees in both Math and Electrical Engineering.
