As CTO, Milo Sprague has responsibility for the Silicon Valley Bank’s overarching business and IT technology strategy, reporting to the CIO. His role includes overarching responsibility for global enterprise and solution architecture, integration and SOA services, technology research and development (R&D) and technology innovation. Mr. Sprague works closely with many SVB clients and looks to identify synergy opportunities for technical collaboration both with the bank and between clients where appropriate. Prior to SVB, as a Managing Principal in Capco's Technology Practice, Mr. Sprague led consulting engagements for enterprise infrastructure architecture, Cloud Computing strategy, IT organizational design, and CIO advisory services across the Financial Services industry. He also led ITIL and IT service management process improvement and implementation. From January, 2002 to April, 2007 Mr. Sprague was an IT and technology strategy consultant and Principal with Sequoia Strategy focusing on technology start-ups and west regional financial services companies. From 1988 to 2002, Mr. Sprague held a broad range of positions of increasing responsibility in Morgan Stanley's IT Leadership in New York, Tokyo, Hong Kong, and San Francisco, ultimately reporting to the CIO as part of a senior strategy team. Mr. Sprague holds a BA degree, cum laude, from Harvard College and the Harvard Kennedy School of Government in the area of “International Relations and Technology.”
