Prior to joining Akamai in 2011, Mr. Kalia held CIO roles within Energy, Telecom and Finance organizations. Earlier in his career, he performed in technology, operations and strategy roles at various global investment banks, including UBS & Morgan Stanley. Mr. Kalia holds an honors degree in Electronic Engineering from the University of Wales and is a Chartered Engineer. He was named by Computerworld in 2008 as 'Best in Class' among their Premier 100 IT Leaders, and has led teams that received CIO 100, InfoWorld 100 and other awards for technology leadership and innovation.
