Title Company Bio Dr. Thomas is currently the Director of the Genomics and Bioinformatics Core for the New Hampshire INBRE and the Director of the Research Core for the Center of Integrated Biomedical and Bioengineering Research, a COBRE at the University of New Hampshire. Dr. Thomas directs the University of New Hampshire’s Hubbard Center for Genome Studies, which is an internationally recognized leader in comparative and environmental genomics with a special emphasis on novel model species. Dr. Thomas’s research focuses on understanding the basic mechanisms of evolution, and the application of high throughput sequencing technologies and bioinformatics to investigate patterns of biodiversity and ecosystem function. Current research in his lab focuses on the application of next generation sequencing technologies to increase the understanding of response of organisms to environmental change and patterns of global biodiversity.
