Bio
William F. (Bill) Jarvis has been a resident at Revera’s Northridge Long Term Care home in Oakville, Ontario since 2013 and was appointed Revera’s first Resident Innovation Ambassador in March 2016. He is an active member of the Northridge community, serving as the Head of Resident Council. In his role as Resident Innovation Ambassador, Mr. Jarvis assists the Revera leadership team in building a culture of innovation, representing the voice of the resident in the design and implementation of the company’s innovation programs, and providing valuable insights to Revera’s senior leadership team and partner organizations on leveraging new products, services and technologies to improve seniors’ lives. He is also a member of the Revera Innovation Council, where he provides guidance on prioritizing and refining the company’s innovation activities. Mr. Jarvis graduated from the Royal Military College of Canada and served as a Flight Lieutenant in the Royal Canadian Air Force before going on to excel in various professional pursuits. He served as the Director of Information Technology at Labatt Breweries of Canada for 18 years and co-founded The Transition Group, an IT management consulting firm, in 1984. He also served as the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Gartner Canada from 1993-1997 and acted as a private management consultant for a number of international organizations until his retirement in 2000. Mr. Jarvis holds an MBA from the Ivey School of Business at Western University. In his free time, he enjoys reading, photography, and spending time with his three children and seven outstanding grandchildren.
