Bio
Jamika Doakes is a Senior Program Manager of Philanthropy at AT&T. She manages a portfolio within AT&T’s signature philanthropic initiative, AT&T Aspire. The AT&T Aspire initiative is a $350 million commitment to help more students graduate from high school ready for careers and college. Many of the organizations within her portfolio focus on supporting students most at risk of dropping out by providing mentoring and other wrap around services to ensure student success. Over 160,000 students have been positively impacted by more than 1 million hours of mentoring that AT&T employees have provided since 2012. Prior to this role, Jamika worked in the Community Engagement group at AT&T and managed employee engagement projects and events for the Southwest region. She has over 10 years of experience in event and project management in both public and private industry. Additionally, before joining AT&T Jamika worked with healthcare, higher education and chamber of commerce industries. Jamika earned her BA in communication studies from the University of Montevallo, and is currently enrolled in the Master of Public Administration program at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She resides in Dallas and enjoys volunteering, reading and spending time with her family and friends.
