Bio
Skip Kotkins is Chairman and CEO of SkipForward Consulting. The firm provides a full range of board consulting services including board placement; non-profit governance; trustee training; board-chair-training; strategic planning; board operations; board-recruitment; retreat planning and facilitation; marketing and branding; special projects.

Skip has served as a Board Director of both NYSE and NASDAQ-listed public companies, as well as multiple private company boards. He was an economic advisor and a branch board director in the Federal Reserve Banking System, and an advisor to the US Government on international trade policy. He has chaired eight non-profit boards including the 105-member Seattle Chamber of Commerce, the Tony-Award-Winning Seattle Repertory Theater, and the world’s largest Rotary Club (810 members) among others. He has served on dozens of Boards including health care, religious, social services, arts, civic and educational institutions. He has a particular depth of experience with independent private schools where he has consulted all over the world, and is a frequent presenter at conferences and an author of several seminal articles and blogs.

Skip Kotkins is a graduate of Williams College with an AB in American Civilization and received his MBA from Harvard Business School. A lifelong Seattle Seahawks fan and season ticket holder, Skip enjoys hiking, skiing, golfing and ensuring that he exceeds expectations in every client engagement.
