Title Travelers EDGE Alumna; Underwriter Company Travelers Bio Teresa Frausto is a Commercial Surety Underwriting Specialist for The Travelers Companies. She supports the Central Region as the Home Office Underwriter and specializes in bonding domestically and international surety needs from largest multi-national companies such as the Fortune 500 companies to privately owned businesses. Teresa joined TravelersEDGE program in 2007 as part of the first cohort. She graduated from Capital Community College with an Associate’s Degree in Liberal Arts. While in the TravelersEDGE Program, Teresa obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University of Connecticut in 2011 and became a TravelersEDGE Scholar. Since joining Travelers in 2007, the TravelersEDGE program allowed her to explore various departments such as Claim, Marking, Business Insurance Operations, and Bond & Specialty Insurance – Commercial Surety, where she got a full-time offer upon graduation. From the beginning, Travelers EDGE focused on her development, providing public speaking training, networking opportunities, technical training, mentorships, and much more. She is currently working towards her MBA at the University of Hartford. In her spare time, she enjoys mentoring other young professionals, traveling and spending time with her family. Teresa resides in East Hartford, CT.
