Title Senior Advisor Company Milken Institute Bio Ryan was the Chief Strategy Officer and General Counsel of Michelle Obama’s Partnership for a Healthier America (PHA), where she worked with corporate executives, health experts, government officials and PHA's leadership to improve health in all communities and tackle childhood obesity. Ryan and her team garnered commitments from more than 200 private-sector partners across a range of industries, including Mercedes-Benz USA, Walmart, Nike, Reebok, Mars, and Subway. Ryan was also an architect of the innovative FNV campaign, which engaged over 85 celebrities in the promotion of fruits and vegetables. Ryan now serves as on the board and as an advisor to several innovative companies in the food and wellness space. She also serves as a Senior Advisor to the Milken Institute’s Lynda and Stewart Resnick Center for Public Health. Earlier in her career, Ryan spent a decade at the international law firm Hogan Lovells, counseling large food and agriculture companies and their trade associations on a range of issues. While at the firm, she also maintained a robust pro bono practice, handling numerous civil rights, political asylum, and death penalty cases. Ryan graduated with honors from Princeton University and Harvard Law School. But, she claims her greatest achievement is keeping up with her two young children.
