Dr. Shameem Ahmed is currently an Assistant Professor in the Computer Science Department at the Western Washington University (WWU). His research focuses on ICT for Development, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), and Mobile Health (mHealth). He received his Ph.D. in Information Science from the iSchool at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He co-directs the NEAT (Next Generation Emerging Affective Technology) research lab at WWU. He collaborates with researchers from all over the world who come from diverse disciplines (e.g., Computer Science, Information Science, Business and Management, Social Science, Library Science, and Medicine).
