Mayoore Jaiswal is a Ph.D. candidate in Electrical Engineering with a focus in artificial intelligence at the University of Washington, where she also received her Master’s. She interned at two wireless corporations before switching her career path to AI. Recently, Mayoore was a research intern at a local non-profit where she developed algorithms to address global health challenges. Mayoore’s three internships have shaped her career decisions – from deciding not to accept a full-time offer from one of the companies, discovering her passion for research and returning to UW for a Ph.D., and switching fields between MS and Ph.D. Her internship experiences have shaped and solidified her current and future research interests. She has given multiple presentations and workshops to 1000+ college students about diversity in STEM. Mayoore has won many awards for her accomplishments in research, teaching, and service.
