Security Researcher
MIT - Lincoln Laboratory

Christine Fossaceca graduated Summa Cum Laude from Villanova University in May 2016 with a Bachelor’s of Science in Computer Engineering. She participated in an undergraduate research project for a semester, which sparked her interest in graduate school, but she wasn’t completely sure about what she wanted to study or what level of a graduate degree to pursue. Fascinated with cybersecurity since high school, she craved an experience where she could learn more about the field. Christine now works at MIT Lincoln Laboratory in the Cyber Systems Assessment group and is able to feed her passion for cybersecurity while trying to figure out what her overall career goals are, without choosing between academia and industry. Her research team specializes in red teaming, reverse engineering, malware analysis, vulnerability discovery and exploit development. To her, research serves as the perfect middle ground to choosing between working at a tech company and attending full-time graduate school.
