Marisela Cerda was raised in a Northern California farming town to a Mexican immigrant father and first generation Mexican-American mother. At fourteen, Marisela’s parents purchased a Windows 3.1 PC for her studies which ignited her curiosity and eventually led her to choose Computer Science as her area of study at California State University, Chico. Marisela graduated with a Bachelor of Science, Computer Science in 2001 and began her professional career at Microsoft Corporation where she works today as a Senior Program Manager for the Microsoft Retail Stores IT team. In 2008, Marisela received a Master of Business Administration from Seattle University. Over the years, Marisela has developed a passion for leadership, mentoring and coaching Women and Men in technology fields. In her current role, Marisela works on engineering more efficient and effective solutions for the Microsoft Stores Retail business.
