Arpita Roy is a Ph.D. student in Information Systems department in University of Maryland, Baltimore County. Her primary research area is Natural Language Processing. Machine Learning, Text Mining, Data Mining and Data Science are also included in her research interest. She is working as a research assistant with Dr. Shimei Pan. She received her B.Sc. degree in Computer Science & Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology, Dhaka, Bangladesh in February, 2013. After graduating, she worked as a Software Engineer in Samsung R&D Institute Bangladesh. Then she worked as a lecturer in Department of Computer Science and Engineering in Primeasisa University, Dhaka, Bangladesh.
