I am Syeda Persia Aziz. I am currently a software developer at Yahoo Holdings working with the Edge-Network team. Originally from Bangladesh, I came to US with an admission to the Master's in CS program of University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Before that, I was a software develpoer at Samsung Research Institute, Bangladesh for two and a half years. I did my undergraduate in Computer Science and Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology. My primary area of interest in Computer Science is Systems and Networking. I am Now a committer at the Apache Software Foundation. I am actively contributing to Apache Traffic Server - a caching proxy server used by many companies including Yahoo!, Apple, LinkedIn, Comcast, GoDaddy etc. I like to travel and explore around. In my free time, I cook and try out different recipes. I also keep interest in social and cultural history. I am actively involved in the Bangladeshi community here at Urbana-Champaign.
