Joy Rimchala is a data scientist in Intuit’s Innovative & Advanced Technology Group, where she helps teams build better and more secure products through data driven approaches, machine learning and artificial intelligence. Before joining Intuit, Joy spent 5 years doing object tracking in biomedical recordings and agent-based modeling as part of her PhD thesis. She recently completed a deep learning nanodegree and is interested in applying deep neural network-based semi-supervised learning for pattern recognition in areas where labeled data is rare and expensive. Joy received a PhD in biological engineering from MIT, and a BS in engineering & applied science and biology from Caltech.
