Rose is a Ph.D. candidate at Carnegie Mellon University, in the Language Technologies Institute of the School of Computer Science. Her current research focuses on developing Deep Learning techniques for improving personalized recommender systems. She is passionate about empowering people through Artificial Intelligence to help them navigate and make decisions in this increasingly complex world. She has previously worked in research areas that span Machine Learning, Data Mining, Web Search Engines, Semi-supervised & Unsupervised Learning, Natural Language Processing, Social Media Analysis and Big Data Analytics, during her stint at IBM Research - India and while pursuing her Masters degree at Indian Institute of Technology - Bombay.
