Ni is a Ph.D. candidate in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at Drexel University. She is a member of the Modeling and Analysis of Network Laboratory (MANL) under the supervision of Dr. Steven Weber since 2013. Her research mainly focuses on the performance analysis of statistical network anomaly detection. Her research projects include developing communication- efficient distributed principal component analysis (PCA) based network anomaly detection algorithms, investigating the impact of the training sample size on the accuracy of the principal subspace estimation and the false alarm rate/missed detection rate of PCA-based anomaly detection, and applying statistical anomaly detection algorithm to detect reactive jammers in WiFi networks. Ni obtained a M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from Drexel University in 2015.
