Ms. Bhatt is pursuing her PhD in Computer Science at University of Texas at San Antonio. She has a Bachelor’s of Engineering (B.E.) degree in Computer Engineering from Kathmandu University, Dhulikhel, Nepal (2011). She is currently in her fourth year in the PhD program and is working as a Research Assistant at Institute for Cyber Security (ICS), Department of Computer Science. Her research area is Cyber Security, mainly focused on Access Control in Cloud Computing and Internet of Things (IoT) platforms. Her research involves developing formal access control models and architectures for Cloud Computing and IoT platforms, and demonstration of their applicability in real-world scenarios. Securing the IoT space is a great challenge and an inevitable need in today’s Internet-enabled world, especially when all the 'things' are becoming smarter, and she is working diligently to make significant contributions in this realm. She is also involved in the university organizations, such as ACM-W.
