Monsur Hossain is currently pursuing a MS in Computer Science at Western Washington University (WWU). He previously studied Computer Science and Engineering at Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET). After graduation he joined Appdragon Limited as a software engineer and did R&D on a health monitoring android application named SmartMed. During his free time, Hossain developed several android applications in Bangladesh. His android app Bangladesh Emergency Services is installed in more than 137,000 devices. A 10k USD grant was rewarded from UNDP for this project. Other popular applications include GRE Vocab Builder in Bangla, Dhaka Metropolitan Police: DMP, and 2048 Impossible. Hossains research focus is in Human Computer Interaction, and recently published a paper in the IEEE COMPSAC 2017. In his free time he likes to play tennis, volley ball, swimming and watch movies.
