Tracy Camp is Department Head of Computer Science at the Colorado School of Mines. She is an ACM Fellow, an IEEE Fellow, and an ACM Distinguished Lecturer. Dr. Camp has received over 20 grants from the National Science Foundation for her research and education projects; in total, her projects have received over $20 million dollars in external funding. Dr. Camp’s research interests include (1) the credibility of ad hoc network simulation studies and (2) the deployment of wireless sensor networks in geosystems (e.g., monitoring earth dams and avalanche paths). She is currently a member of the CRA's Committee on the Status of Women in Computing Research (CRA-W), and served as its Co-Chair from 2011-2014. Dr. Camp shares her life with Max (born in 2000), Emma (born in 2003), her stay-at-home husband (Glen), and two cats (Sunny and Sparkle). The four humans are vegetarians who tremendously enjoy living in the foothills of the Rockies.
