Beth Anderson joined Audible, Inc. in its earliest days as a dot com start-up in 1996. She is currently the Executive Vice President and Publisher. Audible.com is the leading provider on downloadable spoken word content, carrying over 300,000 audiobooks, speeches, lectures, plays, comedy programs, and audio editions of newspapers and magazines. Beth is responsible for licensing content from over 1,200 partners and for producing thousands of audio recordings each year. Before joining Audible, Beth spent 15 years in the book publishing industry at Simon & Schuster, Macmillan and Harcourt Brace Jovanovich. She earned a BA from Cornell University and currently serves on several advisory boards for the university. Beth is also is an avid hiker; she summited Mount Kilimanjaro and has hiked in the Himalayas, Rockies, Andes, Patagonia, Catskills and the Finger Lakes.
