Alice Chang is an iOS engineer on the Search team at Pinterest, where she develops product features that help users discover and retrieve the things they love. Previously, she also worked on enabling discovery across the Homefeed, Explore, and Creation surfaces of the app. Prior to Pinterest, she built the first mobile web experience for Google Express. In her personal life, she is passionate about CS education and the intersection of technology and feminism. She launched a global women's mentorship initiative at Google and co-founded the Chicago chapter of FEMMES (Females Excelling More in Mathematics, Engineering, and Science), an organization whose mission is to bridge the tech gender gap by engaging middle school girls in STEM fields. She holds a BS in computer science and BA in economics from the University of Chicago.
