Erin Ramos has been in the visual effects industry for 14 years, working as an effects artist and technical director. Her credits include such films as the Academy Award®-nominated Snow White and the Huntsman, The Hobbit 2: The Desolation of Smaug, Transformers: Age of Extinction, and The Golden Compass which took home the Academy Award® for Best Visual Effects in 2008. In 2014, she joined Walt Disney Animation Studios to help with the research and development efforts for animated water. She served as an Effects Lead for Walt Disney Animation Studios’ Academy Award®-nominated film Moana, specializing in shoreline water and reef waves. In 2017 she received an Annie Award for Best Animated Effects in an Animated Production for Moana. Ramos is a 2002 graduate of UCLA with a Bachelor of Science degree in computer science and engineering.
