E. B. Hunter is a PhD candidate in Northwestern University’s Interdisciplinary PhD in Theatre and Drama, where she researches interactive spectatorship. In addition to her theoretical work, Hunter is the founder of Fabula(b), a theatre and computational design lab housed at The Garage, Northwestern’s start-up incubator. The lab recently shipped Something Wicked, a combat video game adaptation of William Shakespeare’s Macbeth, and is currently adapting a Greek tragedy for Microsoft’s HoloLens. Hunter’s previous projects include an online pitch curriculum for Northwestern’s Delta Lab and an online ecosystem for musicians. She has been a Segal Design Research Council Fellow, a Mellon Fellow, the founder of a theatre company at an Alabama blast furnace, a screenwriter, the head of development for an independent film company in New York, and a classroom teacher. She holds an MFA in dramaturgy from Columbia University and a BA in English and psychology from the University of Michigan.
