Gabriella Levine is a senior engineer on the Rapid Evaluation team at X. She holds a Masters in Design and Technology from ITP, Tisch School of the Arts, NYU. She has created several open source environmental-sensing robotics startups, including Protei and Sneel. She led Open Source Hardware Association (OSHWA.org), promoting open source accessible technologies worldwide. Levine is also an artist interested in the relationship between technology and ecology, and has exhibited work at Ars Electronica, Art Basel Miami, Eyebeam NYC, Armory Arts Fair, Meta.Morf Electronic Arts Biennial, Transnatural Art Fair. She received the 2012 Prix Ars Electronica Hybrid Arts Award, James R. Herman Memorial Art Installation Grant, Gulfstream Navigator Ocean Exchange Grant, and was a fellow on Unreasonable at Sea accelerator, circumnavigating the world by boat. Her work has been written up in Wired, Vice Magazine, NYTimes, Creator's Project, Hyperallergic, and Scientific American.
