Kathy O'Donnell is a Director of Data Science at Capital One, where she works closely with product managers, designers, engineers, and business experts to discover and bring to fruition new AI-based products for both consumers and internal SMEs. She is a frequent contributor to Capital One's Women in Tech, with a strong commitment to encouraging diversity in technical education and workforces. Prior to joining Capital One, Kathy spent 14 years as an Applied Research Mathematician at the U.S. Department of Defense, focused on developing projects implementing a variety of analytics in high-volume data sets using both traditional and cloud-based architectures. She is equally passionate about bringing humanity to data-driven projects as she is about bringing data to human-driven projects.
