Ms. Jaska has extensive experience in both entrepreneurship and intrapreneurship. Soon after earning her B.S. and M.Eng degrees in Electrical Engineering from Cornell University, she joined ViaSat, at the time a 5-person company near San Diego, California. She helped grow ViaSat into a global 4000-employee company, working in many areas including engineering, management, strategy, and marketing, and currently serving as Vice President of Engineering. She co-founded ViaSat’s innovation center and holds numerous patents in digital communications. Ms. Jaska is on the selection committee and is a mentor for Southern California’s EvoNexus startup incubator, and works with the incubators at several universities. She also serves on the boards of the San Diego Venture Group and San Diego’s Fleet Science Center.
