Hima Patel is a researcher at IBM Research, Bangalore. Her expertise lies in the areas of machine learning, data mining and computer vision. In her 11 years of experience spanning Visa, Shell Research and GE, she has worked on several industrial problems leading to several patent applications, publications as well as technology transitioned to working products. She is passionate about promoting women in technology and is leading the Machine Learning track at Grace Hopper Celebration India 2017 conference. She holds a B.E. in Computer Science and M Tech in Information and Communication Technology.
